Former police sergeant, Drew Peterson, is currently serving a 38-year sentence after being convicted in 2012 for the murder of his third wife, Kathleen Savio. The 63-year-old initially gained national notoriety after the October 2007 disappearance of his fourth wife, Stacy Peterson, who is still missing. Although Kathleen’s death was initially ruled an accidental drowning, Stacy’s disappearance led authorities to reopen the case — and convict Drew of her murder. Now, his story is being aired in a ID’s two-part special, Drew Peterson: An American Murder Mystery.
Previously, it was reported that Drew watched his Lifetime movie, Drew Peterson: Untouchable, which starred Rob Lowe. According to his lawyer, Joel Brodsky, however, he wasn’t a fan. “He thought [the film] was hysterical,” Joel said. “He chuckled at all of the inaccuracies and things that never happened.” It’ll be interesting to hear what he thinks of the new one! Get to know all about Drew’s wives below.
“Look at my bling!” Drew shouted as he was escorted to Will County Courthouse on Friday, May 8, 2009.
Carol Brown (1974-1980)
Carol was married to Drew during the latter part of the 70s and has two grown sons with him. Yet despite the fact that she admitted her ex-husband could be a bit overbearing during their marriage, she “never in a million years” would imagine that he’s a killer. “It’s heartbreaking to think about the children,” she said in 2007, referring to Drew’s children with Kathleen and the two children he had with Stacy.
Vicki Connolly (1982-1992)
Vicki, on the other hand, had a different opinion about her ex. In 2007, Drew’s second wife testified at his pretrial hearing and told the court that he had threatened to kill her several times in the past. She claimed that during their rocky nine-and-a-half year marriage, Drew pulled a gun on her at least three times. During an argument, she said, “He put me up against the wall in the garage and grabbed me by the throat.” In another violent incident, Vicki testified, “He told me he would kill me and make it look like an accident.”
Kathleen Savio (1992-2003)
According to forensic pathologist, Larry Blum, Kathleen endured severe trauma before she passed away. On the 10th day of her murder trial in 2012, he revealed that bruises covered the front of her body and her back was extensively scraped. There was also “an inch-long deep wound resulting from a blow hard enough to split her scalp but not open it down to her skull,” he said. At the time of her death in 2004, Kathleen and Drew were divorced, but the details of the divorce settlement were still weeks away from being finalized.

Stacy Peterson (2003)
To this day, Stacy has yet to be found and no one has been charged with her disappearance. Drew is currently in jail for the murder of Kathleen, however, he denies any involvement with her death or Stacy’s vanishing. Yet according to Drew’s son Stephen — who has been dealing with his father’s “mess” for most of his life — thinks his father is guilty. He told the Chicago Tribune in 2017, “Over time, you hear enough (from police). They can’t all be full of s—,” Stephen said. “I don’t want to come out and say he did it … but, I’m sure he did it.”
