When Kylie Jenner and Travis Scott first revealed they were dating 15 months ago, their relationship felt a little bit random… to say the least. However, a new video on Kylie’s Instagram from 2014 proves it could have been fate all along. The video features a young Kylie in Thailand enjoying the beaches and water, set to Travis Scott’s song “Hell of a Night.” Coincidence? We think not. In fact, what makes things even crazier is that the makeup mogul admitted “Hell of a Night” is her favorite song by Travis in GQ’s new YouTube video.
In the clip, the reality star asked her baby daddy a series of 23 questions about herself, and things got super personal. We learned Travis doesn’t know all of the names of Kylie’s pets, but he saved himself by nailing her middle name and favorite color. He did pretty well in our opinion, so props to him for keeping up. But fans also learned a bit more about how their ~ love story~ began. “When did we first meet and what did I think of you?” the lip kit queen asked Trav. “You thought I didn’t like you,” he said. And Kylie confirmed that was true. “We always knew each other,” she explained. “Like, we were hanging around each other. I mean, we just had mutual friends. That’s what it was. But we never really had a conversation because I thought that he didn’t like me.”
However, things escalated fast, because Kylie ended up leaving her life in California to follow Travis on tour. “We don’t go on dates,” Kylie told GQ as part of the couple’s joint interview. In fact, their “first date” happened at Coachella. “Coachella was one of the stops on his tour,” Kylie explained. “So he said, ‘I’m going back on tour — what do we want to do about this?’ Because we obviously liked each other.” She continued, “And I was like, ‘I guess I’m going with you.’” It’s pretty romantic, when you think about it, especially because Kylie described it by saying they “rode off into the sunset” together. But ultimately, the 20-year-old believes “everything happened for a reason.”
“We had a lot of downtime,” she said. “It was organic. And we would just go to these random cities. We got to not be who we really were. Like, if we were in LA, I feel like it wouldn’t been way different.”
