Even though it’s only been about nine months since Catfish star Nev Schulman and his wife, Laura Perlongo, welcomed baby No. 2, the couple is already thinking about expanding their family. “I feel like it would be too sad to say no more babies,” the 34-year-old blonde beauty told In Touch exclusively while promoting season 4 of ATTN’s show We Need to Talk on Thursday, September 5. “I don’t think I am ready for baby No. 3 just yet. I am definitely saving all of the clothes.” However, Nev, 34, revealed the pair has “talked about it.”
One of the obstacles in the way is that the lovebirds need to figure out where to put a third child in their New York City apartment. “It’s tough to have more than two kids here,” Laura explained. “There is no space! We said, ‘Maybe we can have another baby’ because we are thinking about it. We tried to put Beau, 9 months, and Cleo, 23 months, in the same room, and she loves him so much she would crawl into his crib in the middle of the night and wake him up. I wake up at 5 a.m., and I go in the room, and the lights would be on. Cleo would be in his crib reading him books at 4:45 in the morning. So, we had to nix that.”
But the MTV personality and the mom of two are enjoying their four person crew for now — even if it is a handful. “I find it so much more fun as a family now. We can all hang out. Someone is always awake,” Laura said. “Otherwise, I would be bored, and now I am never bored. I love being busy.”
So, what advice do Laura and Nev have when it comes to making their relationship work? “When you’re going through something with your partner, you might not have the solution for it right away,” he revealed. “It may take a few weeks to get through it, and it might suck and feel awful, but try to remind yourself that this day or weekend or this trip you’re on or this sort of rut you’re in, if you’re really committed to that person, this will inevitably be a blip on the timeline. I think when you’re in the moment, it’s so easy to overreact and blow things up, but don’t lose sight of the commitment that you have to that person and all of the good times you have had in the past and all of the good times you will likely have in the future.”
Laura also couldn’t agree more. “It is all about empathy and taking some time to understand where everyone is coming from,” she said. “Empathy and always keeping it fresh. Always finding a new beginning to an old relationship is always a good thing.”
Wise words, you two! Now, bring on the babies.
