Heather Locklear Completed Court-Order Rehab After EMT Assault

On Wednesday, October 9, Heather Locklear was released from her court-ordered 30-day stay in rehab after assaulting an Emergency Medical Technician back in June 2018. Although the 57-year-old has been released, she will remain on probation and seek outpatient treatment.

Back in August, the actress was ordered to complete a mental health treatment after she pled no contest to eight misdemeanors charges. The charges include five counts of battery on a peace officer, one count of battery on emergency personnel and two counts of resisting arrest. Originally, Heather was sentenced to 120 days in jail, but was put on hold pending the competition of a treatment program.

Heather will receive three years of informal probation, and although she does not need to check in with a probation officer, she is not allowed to consume alcohol, take non-prescription drugs or possess weapons of any kind. If she is to break these rules, she will be sentenced to 120 days in jail.

In June 2018, Heather allegedly “struck, kicked and battered” EMT Jennifer Hayn-Hilton who had responded to a 911 call at the actress’ home. A family member called twice to report a “disturbance” at the blonde beauty’s home. She was then arrested and according to the Ventura County Sheriff’s Office, she was “extremely intoxicated” and “very, very uncooperative” at the time, they told Us Weekly. Hours after she was bailed out of jail, she was hospitalized for a drug overdose.

Last year, Heather entered rehab three separate times. Back in November she was put on a psychiatric hold after she reportedly assaulted her then-boyfriend Chris Heisser. Prior to her arrest, Heather was standing outside of her home in nothing but a thong and tank top. “No. she’s not OK,” Heather’s dad, Bill Locklear told In Touch exclusively at the time.

Prior to the incident in November, Heather reportedly bit Chris, 58, on the nose while intoxicated in February. “When she drinks a certain amount, she just unloads,” Chris’ father Peter Heisser previously told In Touch exclusively. “She has a very quick temper, and I don’t know that she realizes what she’s doing in that situation.” Although Heather had a very eventful year, we are happy she is getting the help she needs and is complying.
