Did Tristan Thompson’s alleged mistress Lani Blair have him in her sights long before the reports of his infidelity made headlines? Was she sending out cryptic messages to him months before she was reportedly spotted with him in New York City? Perhaps… if he’s the subject of some of her cryptic Instagram posts. (Khloé Kardashian, just stop reading now.)
As Lani donned a gray bodycon dress and posted a mirror selfie, she added this caption: “Every time I see you walking by I get a thrill… You don’t notice me but in time you will. ?” And for another selfie, she wrote: “Hey lady, let me tell you why. ?”
The lyrics come from Roger Troutman’s 1987 R&B Hit “I Want to Be Your Man,” which you’ve heard on the soundtracks to Love & Basketball, Pootie Tang, and Soul Kitchen. (You might also be familiar with Charlie Wilson and Fantasia’s 2010 cover.)
In the caption of another mirror selfie — a pic in which the 28-year-old poses in Calvin Klein underwear — she wrote, “All the chronic in the world couldn’t even mess with you… You are the ultimate high.” And those lyrics hail from Jodeci’s 1993 R&B track “Feenin’.”
We couldn’t tell you if any other Instagram followers think Tristan might be that “ultimate high” of hers: Lani has apparently disabled Instagram comments after users left vicious remarks on her uploads. “Hope your next man does the same thing to you as you did to her,” one user said. “She just wants to get famous off the Kardashians… just because she has nothing else going for her so being a mistress was her key to fame,” said another.
Amid the drama, Lani reportedly stopped showing up to the strip club where she worked… but at least one person seems to have her back! Blac Chyna, frequent nemesis of the Kardashian family, followed Lani on Instagram. “So petty Blac Chyna followed the girl Tristan cheated with on Instagram,” one user said. Chyna probably wants a front row seat to the drama! Meanwhile, Lani is getting more and more famous and/or infamous, which might have been her game plan all along…
