The cops were called to Kanye West’s star-studded Sunday Service due to a noise complaint, In Touch can confirm. The rapper was holding his weekly spiritual event in Calabasas on March 24, which featured a large gospel choir and band performing for the occasion.
“A neighbor called to complain about loud music and access to the street. It was about 9:30 a.m. on Sunday,” Sgt. Foss from Los Angeles County Sheriffs Department Malibu and Lost Hills Sheriff’s Station tells In Touch exclusively. “We just received one call to complain. The Sheriffs went out there to check it out and they contacted the individual there, like with any other complaint about loud music.”
It’s unclear whether Kanye, 41, was contacted directly, but they were advised to keep it down. As far as if the fashion designer can continue to hold the Sunday Service events, Sgt. Foss said he thinks “the matter is being looked into.” It’s believed that Kanye did not have a permit.
During the event, Kanye’s wife, Kim Kardashian, 38, was taking to social media with videos of the festivities. Their daughter, North West, was seen showing off her dance moves to the adoring crowd.
“My videos of Sunday Service due it no justice of the vibe we feel in that room, but this little video shows How much North loves our Sunday mornings,” Kim tweeted about the events in February.
Several famous faces were present for this week’s Sunday Service, including Kim’s sisters, as well as stars like Katy Perry, Orlando Bloom, Courtney Love, Tyler the Creator and more. The choir and band reportedly performed renditions of Kanye’s hit songs including “Amazing” and “Dark Fantasy.”
Kanye has been working hard on his upcoming album, Yandhi, and he and Kim will reportedly be expecting their fourth child in early May. That’s not all fans can look forward to: the new season of Keeping Up With the Kardashians will be premiering on March 31.
