I am so Team Flared Pants right now; I can’t get enough. I remember the first time I participated in this trend in the early to mid-2000s. I’m from the Midwest so a tad later than you East Coast lifers. I had corduroy pairs, flared denim, and those slinky, crepe-y black ones from Express. The trend back then was to wear them long, super long. Dragging-on-the-floor long. Or with insanely tall heels that I would never wear now. The difference for me now is that I don’t want the long ones. I am only interested in the cropped or ankle length varieties. This style is plentiful right now at a huge range of price points to satisfy every consumer. And flared pants were shown on the New York and Europe runways for SS17. I love a trend that maintains some longevity.
