New season, new shoes! It’s finally time to kick off the shearling and start thinking about showing off those pedicures again. But before continuing to add to our collections, maybe we can try to make purchases that do a little more to preserve the beauty around us. After doing a bit of research, it seems that really doesn’t have to be a sacrifice at all. Take for instance EZ favorites, The Palatines, their handmade Shagreen sandal is an easy neutral slip-on for day to day wear. Brands like Miu Miu and Brother Vellies also have decorative versions of their own that you can feel good about buying. Loafers are another no-brainer for spring, so woven picks from Eco-brands like Nisolo and Proud Mary are especially appealing. But, if flats really aren’t your style, Sydney Brown might be right up your alley. Her collection of sculptural wooden clogs embraces the vintage seventies vibes we’ve been channeling for the past few seasons. And we’d be remiss not to mention at least one of the various eco-friendly styles from Stella McCartney. I’m currently obsessing over her white faux patent-leather pumps, from jeans to sundresses the potential pairings are abundant. So whether you’re looking to treat yourself, or just trying to do your part to save the planet, this time it’s possible to do both!
