Our favorite Spanish born, Brooklyn-based womenswear designer Stefania Borras has just launched her latest collection, and it’s full of the versatile and modern pieces Datura has become synonymous with. The collection is comprised of a handful of silk colorways: citric orange, passion red, olive green, her signature navy polka, black, and white linen. Stefania lives and breathes the brand’s image – effortless and pretty, and never too fussy. And her new styles reflect this too. She’s introduced the Ren jumpsuit, a long sleeved, wide leg version, and added a ruffle to the bottom of the classic Anna dress and called her Carmen. The Alma skirt and Lola shirt are new styles also, but maintain the wrap effect always present in a Datura collection. This new collection continues the seasonless approach by the brand – collections are introduced to build upon “seasons” past. Never too trendy and completely customizable to the wearer, the launch of this new collection comes just as I was getting tired of the endless emails advertising marked down SS16 collections. Stefania, I’ll take one of everything!
