Nellie Partow has hit her stride. Her clothes make you want to get dressed in the morning. She has presented consistent collections four years in a row that clearly communicate the strengths of her brand: luxurious fabrications, texture, exquisite tailoring, and modern femininity. The Spring/Summer 2014 collection featured bold pops of color with fuchsia satin trousers, a crocheted cardigan, a teal shorts suit and a very special eelskin car coat. Partow also went a little dreamy with a long, creamy chiffon dress and a foil jacquard top.
With a unique ability to address the needs of real women, her clothes are complex without being fussy and unique, but still minimal thanks to her expert tailoring. Producing the traditional two seasons a year, Partow was kind enough to share a bit of inspiration behind the Fall 2014 collection she is currently working on.
“The direction for Fall 2014…it’s a complete play on menswear. I wanted to create a collection that delved into the strength and attitude behind these traditionally masculine elements. I wanted to provide a collection that posseses an air of confidence, strength and security. It’s about a woman that is self-assured and can show her femininity by carrying these masculine silhouettes and influences.”
Menswear may be the inspiration, but we are confident Partow will add her distinctly modern feminine interpretation and present a collection beyond our imagination. February cannot come soon enough!
