Earlier this year we featured UK based shoe designer Theresa Ebagua and chatted with her about the launch of her new shoe line Chelsea Paris. Since then Ebagua’s shoes have been featured prominently at Barneys and on many red carpet stars: Kaley Cuoco, Selena Gomez, and Minnie Driver. And now much to the delight of the brand’s followers, Chelsea Paris is launching e-commerce! We spoke with Theresa to get her thoughts on why now was the perfect time:
Why did you decide now was a good time to launch e-commerce?
Chelsea Paris is now in its third year and we have steadily grown our stockists globally. It is very important for us as a brand to be able to communicate directly with our consumers and offer our complete collection of shoes through an experience which expresses the brand in its totality. With e-commerce we are now able to provide this.
Have your customers been reaching out to you about where to purchase specific styles?
Yes. We have been repeatedly asked where it is possible to purchase Chelsea Paris shoes. Consumers are showing a growing interest in our collections! We have been reaching out and establishing a strong connection with them, especially through our social networks.
Will you offer exclusive styles unavailable at your retailers?
Yes! The website will offer web exclusives each season in strong colour mixes and exciting materials.
Are you launching with new styles?
Yes, we are currently launching the styles of our SS14 collection but in some exclusive colour ways.
